BETTY JANE WILLIAMS Mooreville- Betty Jane Willams, 74, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2014, at the North Mississippi Medical Center, Hospice Unit. She was born Feburary 6, 1940 to Walter and Lizzie Clouse Hood. She was a factory worker and homemaker who loved spending time with her family. She liked to read, garden and enjoyed bowling. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday August 17, 2014 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors with Rev. Buddy Rushing officiating. Burial will be at Boguefala Cemetery. Survivors include the father of her children, Newell Williams of Mooreville; eight children, Michael Williams (Karen), Mark Williams (Kim), Melissa Williams, Jeffery Williams all of Mooreville, Matthew Williams (Kayla) of Mantachie and Lisa Davis (Rodney) of Saltillo, Joy Williams (Norman) of Baldwyn and Eddie Williams (Liz) of Dorsey Community; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one brother, Merle Wayne Hood and one sister, Ruth Franks. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lizzie Hood; three brothers, Roger Hood, Joe Hood and Eugene "Buddy" Hood; one daughter, Elizabeth Hood; one son, David Williams and one grandson, Christopher Easterling. Pallbearers will be Rodney Davis, Harmon Birmingham, Tyler Birmingham, Greg Dickerson, Norman McDonald and Johnny Martin. All her grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
