BETTY HESTER REECE
Tupelo - Betty Hester Reece, 67, died Monday, March 19, 2007, at North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. A native and lifelong resident of Belden, she was born April 30, 1939 to the late Margaret Key and Alvis Hester. She was a member of Belden United Methodist Church. She loved God and her family and enjoyed spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed working puzzle books. She had lived at Timberlawn Apartments the past two years. She was known as Mama to her children and MeMe and Aunt Betty to those who loved her.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at Maxcy Cemetery with Rev. Danny Wilburn and Rev. Danny Balint officiating. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include three daughters, Anita Trimble (Ricky), of Belden, Jackie Arnold (Louis Weaver) of Mantachie, Cindy Hester of Belden; one son, John Patterson (Beth) of Wausai, WI; her step-mother, Jesse Mae Hester, of Troy; a sister, Irene Gordan (Russel) of Pontotoc; two brothers, Gerald Hester (Melba), Jimmy Ray Hester (Diane), all of Troy; her grandchildren, Natasha McAnally,Curtis Adair, Aaron McAnalley, Chris Hester, Tabitha Arnold, Ashley Hester, Lauren Patterson, Hailey Trimbell, Joseph Patterson, and Tessa Trimble; her great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Madison, and Seth Adair.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lynn and Margaret Key and Alvis Hester, Sr.; her brothers, Gene, Mason, and Buddy Hester and his wife, Catherine Hester.
Pallbearers will be Chris Hester, Aaron McAnally, Curtis Adair, Michael Herndon, Bobby Foster, and Chester Russell.
Visitation will be noon until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
