Shannon - BETTY RUTH LOWRY, 68, died suddenly Sunday, February 3, 2008, at The North Mississippi Medical Center. A Tupelo native, she was born May 14, 1939 to the late Murle Clovis and Mable Estes Goodwin. She enjoyed gospel music and taking care of her pets (Suzy). She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at Jefferson Street Chapel with Rev. Stanley Shook and Brother Billy Wayne Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors include one daughter,Teresa Lowry of Shannon; three sons, James Lowry (Norma) of Shannon, Tommy Lowry and Kenny Lowry (Donna) all of Tupelo, thirthteen grandchildren, Christy Sullivan (Jason), Sonya Howell (Chris), Jessica Sanders, Tony Enis (Tammy), Shea Roberts (TJ), Heather,Curtis and Amanda Lowry, Malcolm Barker, Mark Wilson (Belinda), Michael Wilson, Matthew Lowry and Donavan Phillips; ten great grandchildren; two sisters, Joanne Horton of Shannon and Lorreta Lee of Saltillo; one brother Bud Goodwin (Cindy) of Brewer; two special friends, Betty Ann Wooldridge and Johnna Phillips.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two grandsons, Jamie and Shaun Lowry.
Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be 5 - 9pm Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
