Betty Jo Harville

Tupelo- Betty Jo Harville surrounded by her family peacefully passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022 at her home. Known as Ms. Betty, she was born April 18, 1933 to Floyd and Louie Bell Baughman. She married the love of her life, Murrell T. Harville and they were together for 64 years before his passing. Betty had five children, Linda Russell (Freddie), Danny Harville (Ann), Ricky Harville (Dee), Randy Harville, and David Harville who preceded her in death. Ms. Betty loved singing praises to her Lord and would share the Gospel with anyone who would listen. She loved flowers, cats, coffee and cookies.
In additional to her children, she also leaves behind ten grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Murrell T. Harville; son, David Harville; brother, Clifton Boughman; sisters, Louise Shumpert, Sue Williams, and Helen Tacket; and a daughter-in-law, Rhonda Harville.
Graveside services celebrating Ms. Betty’s memory will be 11 a.m. Thursday at White Zion Cemetery with Bro. Dewayne Bailey. Visitation for family and friends will be 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Pegues, Tupelo.
Pegues Funeral Directors has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Ray Russell, Stefan Russell, McKay Burns, Tom Harville, Cody Harville, and Freddie Russell.
