BETTY JANE FREDERICK

Tupelo - Betty Jane Frederick, 76, died Tuesday, September 12, 2006, at Cedars Health Center after an extended illness. A Hancock County, Ill. native, she was born August 12, 1930 to the late Alfred and Blanche Gumm Rampley. She was retired from North Mississippi Medical Center after working at the Information Desk for 25 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandkids, gardening, and cooking. She loved country and gospel music. She attended First Baptist Church of Verona. She was married to Clyde Frederick who preceded her in death March 24, 1993.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Dr. Bryant Barnes and Rev. David Hamilton officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.

Survivors include three children, Pam Robinson of Tupelo, Perry Frederick and wife, Kathy, of Tupelo, Cherry Frederick of Atlanta, Ga.; five sisters, Dorothy Woodruff, of Booneville, Linda Moore of Guntown, Nancy Combs of Odessa, Tex., Alice Brockman of Daly City, Calif., Molly Watson of Bagdad, Fla.; four grandchildren, Bridgette Scott and husband, Jason, Monte Robinson, Cole Frederick and Tyler Frederick, all of Tupelo; and two great-grandchildren, Olivia Scott and Sophia Scott.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Richard Rampley, Neal Rampley; and a sister, Barbara Desveri.

Pallbearers will be John Leslie, Mike Phillips, Cole Frederick, Tyler Frederick, Bill Frederick, Jr., and Phil VanDevander.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
