Tupelo - Nancy Beth Collins, 48, died Wednesday, January 21, 2009, at Community Hospice after a brief illness. She was born March 18, 1960 to Burton Cox and Nancy Alberta Broome. Raised in South Mississippi, she lived in the Tupelo area for the past ten years. She was an associate for Wal-Mart in New Albany for two years and had previously worked for All Star Cleaners in Tupelo for six years. She was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, camping, going to yard sales, and computer games.
No formal services will be held, but the family will gather for visitation from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband of 18 years, Larry Thomas Collins of Tupelo; two sons, Ryan Crocker of Ellisville and Adam Crocker of Tupelo; two daughters, Toni Ryan and husband, Larry, of Pascagoula and Carolyn Collins of Snead, Ala.; two sisters, Kandi Broome of Las Vegas, Nev. and Cindy Steward and husband, Steve, of Wade; her brother, Bud Broome of Wade; five grandchildren, Haley Ryan, Courtney Ryan, Joseph Collins, Austin Ryan, and Justin Ryan.
