CENTERVILLE Bessie Jean Fowler died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a short illness. She was a longtime resident of Centerville community. She was a retired seamstress and homemaker, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Saltillo. She loved gardening and loved all animals, especially her cat, Bullett.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors with Rev. Greg Jones officiating. Burial in the Saltillo Cemetery. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include one son, Richard Tramel of Centerville; one sister, Lucille Letson of the Unity community; one brother, Burma Stanford of Wichita, Kan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 45 years, Robert Fowler; three sisters, Annie Harris, Lillian Stanford and Milvia Dodson; and four brothers Earl Stanford, Wilburn Stanford, Guy Stanford and Ervin Stanford.
Pallbearers will be Randy Letson, Johnny Letson, David Davis, Billy McDonald, Kevin Letson and Dale Letson.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors.
