Nettleton - Bertha Gilmore Presley, 91, died Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. A Lee County native and lifelong resident, she was born May 24, 1920, to Tom and Willie Gilmore. She worked as a seamstress at Lucky Star in Nettleton, Blue Bell in Tupelo and retired from Longnecker Garment Manufacturing in Amory. She enjoyed fishing, working in her vegetable garden, and cooking. She was the widow of Truman Flavors Presley who died Jan. 28, 2007. She was a faithful and active member of Nettleton Pentecostal Church.

Services will be 4 p.m. Thursday at Nettleton Pentecostal Church with Rev. Larry Davis and Rev. Jerry Keith officiating. Burial will be in Andrews Chapel Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her son, Truman Allen Presley (Doris) of Nettleton; three grandchildren, Sheran Ann Wood (Phil) of Tupelo, John Allen Presley (Ronnie) of Tupelo and Angela Presley Conner (Erik) of Oxford; seven great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Truman Flavors Presley; one sister, Eunice Clement; three half brothers, Era, Olace, and Jess Gilmore; and a half sister, Maggie Williams

Pallbearers will be John Micah Presley, Terence Sutterfield, Brian Wood, Bobby Gilmore, Jeff Clark, and Erik Conner.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church and 3 p.m. to service time Thursday
