McCalla, Ala. - BEATRICE ADDERHOLT MCGREGOR, 90, died Sunday, October 7, 2007, at Plantation Manor in McCalla, Ala. after an extended illness. She was born April 4, 1917 to the late George and Sally Kelly Alexander. She was a life long resident of Lee County until she moved to her son's home in Birmingham, Alabama. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Green Valley Baptist Church in Birmingham.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Priceville Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Daniel and Rev. Tim McMillen officiating. Burial will be in Priceville Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include two sons, Gerald Adderholt and wife, Helen of Tupelo; Oliver Adderholt and wife, Betty, of Hoover, Ala., one sister, Pauline Marshall of Memphis; five grandchildren, Derrick Adderholt and wife, Dinah, of Tupelo, Amanda Wood and husband, Michael, of Tupelo, Sharon Tindell and husband, Curtis, of Ft. Worth, Tex., Allen Adderholt and wife, Suzan, of Birmingham, Ala., Steven Adderholt and wife, Jill, of Birmingham, Ala.; ten great-grandchildren, Chase Adderholt, Trinity Adderholt, Abbygail Adderholt, Autumn Wood, Austin Wood, Ashley Tindell, Courtney Tindell, Justin Adderholt, Jessica Adderholt, and Brandon Adderholt .
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Alton Adderholt; her second husband, Wesley McGregor;seven brothers and five sisters.
Pallbearers will be Derrick Adderholt, Michael Wood, Brandon Adderholt, Allen Adderholt, Ray Alexander, and Tommy Scruggs.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m Wednesday at the funeral home and 1 p.m. prior to service time Thursday at the church.
