BEATRICE McBRYDE Tupelo - Beatrice McBryde, 88, died Thursday, July 19, 2012, at Traceway Manor. She was born June 18, 1924 in New Albany to Joel Richard and Ethel Potts Clayton. She was a devote Christian and assisted in the establishment of Broadmore Baptist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas. She owned and operated a daycare in Little Rock, Arkansas for many years before retiring. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2012 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Tim Barber and Rev. Terri Armstrong officiating. Survivors include one daughter, Joyce Olmstead (Mike) of Belden; two grandchildren, Michael Olmstead of Oxford and David Olmstead (Julie) of San Francisco, California; one great-grandson, Lucas Olmstead. She was preceded in death by her husband, George McBryde and her daughter, Glenda Meadows. Pallbearers will be Lynn Hayley, Paul Goddard, Ron Rollins, Larry Bass, Bill Warren, Larry Long and Sonny Corder. Memorials may be made to the Traceway Sunday Fund or Meals on Wheels, 2800 W.
