TUPELO - Barbara Jean Robbins Timmons, 62, died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2006, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born Dec. 20, 1943, in Tupelo to the late James T. Robbins and Emogene Tate Robbins. She was a graduate of Tupelo High School and attended MSCW. She was a member of the Oak Valley Christian Church. She was retired after 25 years with Renasant Bank.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with the Rev. Bobby Holland officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors include her husband, Joe Blair Timmons of Tupelo; one daughter, Kathlyn "Kit" McLarty and her husband, Mark, of Pontotoc; one son, James Edwin "Ed" Riley of Tupelo; one brother, Jimmy Robbins and his wife, Janie, of Pontotoc; three grandchildren, Alexandra McLarty, Ann Catelyn McLarty and Megan Riley.
Pallbearers will be Richard Vaughn, Richie Swinney, Jerry Harwood, Chuck Hankins, Charles Hankins, Tommy Timmons and Brian Corbett.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
