Barbara Lansdell

July 27, 1938 — February 13, 2009

Saltillo - Barbara Ann Lansdell, 70, died Saturday, February 13, 2009, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Born July 27, 1938 to Chan and Lilly Clouse Buse, she was a native and life-long resident of Saltillo. She was a member of Bethany Baptist church. A homemaker, she loved making homemade quilts, keeping her grand babies and special times with her family.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 16, 2009 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Castor Buse officiating. Burial will be in Pontotoc City Cemetery.

Survivors include one daughter, Candie Blansett and husband, Patrick, of Pontotoc; three sons, Butch Lansdell of Hope Sound, Florida, Mike Lansdell and wife, Judy, of Indian Hills, Saltillo, Bobby Lansdell and wife, Melisa, of Pontotoc; one brother, Kenneth Buse and wife, Ann, of Saltillo; 10 grandchildren, Justin Lansdell and Ryan Lansdell, both of New Jersey, Josh Lansdell of Roseau, Minnesota, Nicole Lansdell of Baldwyn, Leslie Lansdell of Michigan City, Indiana, Austin Blansett and Parker Blansett of Pontotoc, Faith Lansdell of Virgina, Brittany Shelton of Pontotoc and Bethany Lamb of Indianapolis, Indiana and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Lansdell on May 9, 2008; one granddaughter, Amanda Lansdell; five brothers, Grady, Clifford, Truman, Cecil and Charles Buse and one sister, Jewel Brock.

Pallbearers will be Hermon Lansdell, Bobby Tucker, Phillip Lansdell, Anthony Buse, Terry Buse and Ben Waldrip.

Visitation will be 5 - 9 p.m. Sunday, February 15, 2009 at the funeral home.
