Barbara Ann Kritner

August 19, 1950 — April 16, 2011

Mantachie - Barbara Ann Kritner, 60, died Saturday, April 16, 2011, at Sanctuary Hospice House. She was born in Baldwyn on August 19, 1950 to Robert Edward and Gladys Ann Lindsey Davis. For the past seven years she endured cancer, but she never stopped living her life, enjoying her family, and her puppy, Bridget. She was an avid fisherman, loved gardening and Facebook. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Peppertown.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2011 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Mark Tutor and Rev. Houston Dill officiating. Burial will be at Hodges Chapel.

Survivors include three sons, Padraic Raines (Kathy) of Baldwyn, Paul Raines of Blue Springs and Shane Raines (Amanda) of Baldwyn; three daughters, Angie Grose (Jonathan) of Blue Springs, Wanda Williams of Tupelo and Melissa Parr (Jeremy) of Mantachie; a grandson she reared, Zackery Raines of Mantachie; three brothers, Bobby Davis (Louise) of Marietta, Hayden Davis (Shelia) of Corinth and Carroll Davis (Rosemary) of Baldwyn; seventeen additional grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband in 1972, Paul Dell Raines; her second husband in 1997, Art Kritner, her parents, one brother, Larnce Clifton Davis.

Pallbearers will be Paul McMillen, Don Garnsay, Joseph Raines, Marty Davis and Eugene Davis.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Dr. Christopher Croot.

Visitation will be 5 - 9 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 2011 at the funeral home.
