Audrey Russell

Evergreen - AUDREY FAYE RUSSELL, 69, died Sunday, January 6, 2008, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. A Carolina Community native, she was born April 9, 1938 to the late Dick and Dolly Brown Dobbins. She was loved by many and will be missed by all, especially her husband, J.T. Russell whom she married December 20, 1952. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all her heart. She loved flowers, camping and enjoyed watching cooking shows.

Services will be 2 P.M. Wednesday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Sammy Raper officiating. Burial will be in New Chapel Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, J.T. Russell of Evergreen; one daughter, Tammy Griffin and husband, Roger, of Pontotoc; one son, Tim Russell and wife, Wanda, of Nettleton; four grandchildren, Brandi Scales, Jeremy Holland, Emily Griffin, and Sabrina Pettigrew; four great-grandchildren, Damien Hampton, Kevin Scales, Brandon Scales, and Aubrey Scales; three sisters, Christine Davis and husband, Dale, Betty Bishop, Susie Shumpert; one brother, Ricky Dobbins and wife, Sue; a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Alan Shumpert.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Holland, Gary Weatherford, Tony Bishop, Mark Russell, Rene Castaneda, and Joe Griffin.

Honorary Pallbearers will be her great-grandsons, Damien, Kevin, and Brandon.

Visitation will be 4:30 to 9 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
