Audrey Perryman

Audrey Perryman Tupelo- Audrey Elizabeth Perryman, 88, died Sunday, July 3, 2016 at the North Mississippi Medical Center. December 8, 1927, Audrey was born and raised in Desoto County to Samuel Montgomery and Martha Elizabeth Lauderdale Johnston. She started working at Southern Bell Telephone Company before she graduated from Hernando High School. Audrey was very active in the telephone company union, AFL-CIO and CWA. She retired after 23 years of service from AT&T. She treasured her collections and was an avid conversationalist. Survivors include three children, Liz P. Roy of Tupelo, Sammy Perryman (Analyn) of Tupelo and Jason Perryman (Teresa) of Collierville, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Chris Ausbon of Tupelo, Susan Davis (Nathan) of Gulf Port, Matt Perryman of Tupelo, Neal Perryman of Collierville, Tennessee and Scott Perryman (Lauren) of Memphis, Tennessee; four great-grandchildren, Sam Ausbon, Dylan Davis, Neal Perryman and Sophie Davis and one brother, Robert E Johnston of Hernando. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Fleta Frances Laughter. Visitation will be 4 until 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Bakers Methodist Chapel Cemetery in Hernando, Mississippi. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Cason, Michael Neal, Edward Laughter, Alan Laughter, Tommy Doty, David Johnston, Franklin Johnston and The Dickey brothers.
