Saltillo- Arlie Edward Henry, 77, died Thursday, August 3, 2023 at North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born on February 19, 1946 in Lee County; he was the son of Millard Henry and Clara Mae Hickman Henry. Arlie married Gladys Faye Ray on March 17, 1967. He was a family man who enjoyed time with his grandchildren. He was a longtime Eldeco, Inc. employee prior to his retirement. He loved being outdoors fishing and camping. He was a member of Barnes Crossing Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gladys Faye Henry of Saltillo; two children, Jason Daniel Henry (Tasha) of Saltillo, and Sherry Tenneal Frederick (Corey) of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Issac Ray Worthey and Elijah Dalton Hawkins of Saltillo, Lily Ruth Frederick and Lochlan Manuel Frederick of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; four sisters, Linda Ethridge, Patsy Henry, Peggy Irvin (Mike), and Debbie Thomas (Eddie) all of Saltillo; and two brothers, Gerald Henry (Yogi) and Jerry Henry (Zina) both of Saltillo.

Arlie was preceded in death by his parents, Millard and Clara Mae Henry; two sons, Kenneth Dewayne Henry and Harlin Eugene Henry; brother, Charley Henry; two sisters, Wanda Henry and Bonnie Purvis.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Pegues, Saltillo.

Services honoring his life will be 12 p.m. Saturday, August 5, 2023, at the Saltillo Chapel of Pegues with Rev. Bobby Holland officiating. Burial will be at Ozark Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Wilson, Timothy Hawkins, Kyle Henry, Kirk Henry, Justin Jackson, James Bruce, Garrett Ethridge, Anthony Cox, and Jacob Henry. Whitney Wilson and Bianca Wilson will serve as honorary pallbearers.
