ANNIE LOU RUSSELL
Houlka - Annie Lou Russell, 79, died Friday, May 12, 2006, at her residence after an extended illness. A Dorsey native, she was born March 10, 1927, to the late Joe and Gertie Harmon McMillen. She was a homemaker, loved to cook, sew and do crossword puzzles. She was a Baptist.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with the Rev. Harrison Upshaw officiating. Burial will be in Keyes Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Coyal Russell; one son, Kenneth Beasley and his wife, Charlotte, of Fulton; four stepsons, Ray Russell and his wife, Rita, of Pontotoc, Glen Russell and his wife, Sandra, of Saltillo, Danny Russell and his wife, Lynda of Houlka, and Earnie Russell and his wife, Jane, of Algoma; nine grandchildren, Matthew and Ken Beasley, Mickie Searcy, Shelia Black, Chris Russell and his wife, Cindy, Dana Russell and his wife, Candi, Michael Russell and his wife, Meredith, Dawn McCarty and her husband, Todd, and Lee Russell; seven great-grandchildren, Haley Black, Grant and Mollie Searcy, Katie, Shelia, Courtney and Mallori Russell; one sister, Clara Gregory of Clinton; two sisters-in-law, Marie Russell of Houlka and Ruby Young of Pontotoc; several nieces and nephews; one brother-in-law, Junior Russell of Pontotoc; her caregivers, Bobby, Kittie, and Sam Russell and Sandy Ruth.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Gene McMillen.
Her grandsons will be pallbearers.
