Tupelo- Annie B. Monaghan Watts, 90, died Thursday, December 25, 2008, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. A Tupelo native, she was born July 15, 1918, to Rev. Frank and Maggie Cain Monaghan. She was a lifetime member of Tupelos First Baptist Church, an active member of Ruth Sunday School Class and a volunteer at The North Mississippi Medical Center for forty-one years. She retired from Sears after thirty-nine years of service. She was a member of Chapter 83 Order of the Eastern Star and Past Matron of the Glad Club.
Private Graveside Services for family will be 1 P.M. Saturday at Tupelo Memorial Park with Dr. Randy Von Kanel officiating. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include two sons Bud Spann and Bill Watts of Tupelo; one sister Rubye Cother of Tupelo.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Ruth Sunday School Class and the adult Department # 7.
Visitation will be 4 - 6 p.m. Friday, December 26, 2008 at the funeral home.
In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The First Baptist Church in Tupelo.
