Annie Lansdell

December 12, 1915 — August 23, 2008

Mooreville - Annie Lee Lansdell, 92, died Saturday, August 23, 2008, at Community Hospice " Darlington Oaks after a short illness. A Lee County native, but she lived most of her life in Mooreville. She was born December 12, 1915 to Jim and Hattie Pearl Starling Martin. She was married July 4, 1936 to Jack Lansdell. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She was an avid flower gardener, and enjoyed gospel singing, and shopping. She was a member of Boguefala Baptist Church where she was one of the oldest members.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Roger Franks, Eddie Bedford, Brad Franks and Chad Franks officiating. Burial will be in Gilvo Cemetery.


Survivors include one son, James David Lansdell and his wife, Geraldine; four daughters, Carolyn Bedford, Betty Tucker and her husband, Bobby, Nita Blanchard and her husband, Scott, Debbie Franks and her husband, Roger, all of Mooreville; son-in-law, James M. Cayson; 24 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; and numerous great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Jack Lansdell; her parents; three daughters, Cora Cayson, Shirley Lansdell, and Bobbie Smith; one brother, Claude Martin; two sisters, Gertdine Martin and Lois Lansdell; two son-in-laws, Lindon Smith and Joe Bedford..

Pallbearers will be Keith Smith, Mike Morris, Pat Riggs, Bobby Tucker, Jr., Joe Cayson, Jim Cayson, Casey Cayson, Josh Blanchard and Daniel Blanchard.

Visitation will be 5 - 9 Monday, August 25, 2008 at the funeral home.
