Annie Mae Gaines

Mooreville - Annie Mae Gaines, 88, died Monday, March 9, 2015, at Tupelo Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after an extended illness. She was born April 4, 1926 to the late Walter and Bell Thomas. She enjoyed being a homemaker. She was a member of Harrisburg Baptist Church. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, March 12, 2015 at the Jefferson Street Chapel with Rev. Curtis Shelton officiating. Burial will be in Verona City Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include her daughter, Shearer Ann Looney (William) of Mooreville; two sons, Tommy Gaines (Judy) of Dallas, Texas and James Gaines (Carylon) of Verona; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Raymond Gaines and one great-grandson. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at W.E. Pegues, Tupelo.
