Annie Katherine Carr
TUPELO - Annie Katherine Carr, 84, died Friday, April 28, 2006, at her home after a long illness. A Lee County native, she was born April 29, 1921, to the late William Horace and Birdie Westmoreland Young. She was a member of Richmond Baptist Church and a retired employee of the Mooreville School cafeteria. She loved her family and friends, and enjoyed flowers and working in her yard.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Dr. Clay Anthony and Dr. Marvin Murphy officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Thomas J. Carr; two daughters, Brenda Crane and husband, Jimmy, of Tupelo and Benita Tatum and husband, Andy, of Fulton; one son, Thomas M. Carr and wife, Sue, of Belvidere, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Jeanine Little and husband, Bobby, of Jackson, Eric Crane and wife, Angie, of Tupelo, Brian Carr and wife, Laura, of Oxford, Jon Tatum, Allison Tatum and Carla Tatum, all of Fulton; one great-grandson, Tyler Crane of Tupelo; one sister, Bobbie Jean Johnson and husband, Junior, of Madison, Ind.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Nell Metcalfe.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Richmond Baptist Church building fund.
