Anna Hanson

April 14, 1922 — April 27, 2009

Tupelo - Anna Jean Hanson, 87, died Monday, April 27, 2009, at The Sanctuary Hospice House after a brief illness. An Alabama native and resident of Birmingham, she was born April 14, 1922 to William Miller and Martha Stewart Rodgers. She was the widow of Herbert Cooper Hanson.

Private burial services will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include two daughters, Jeannie Massey of Tupelo and Barbara Badham (Glenn) of Birmingham, Ala.; three grandchildren, Mary Brown (Chan) of Tupelo, Cooper Massey (Kathy) of Atlanta, Ga., and Austin Wilson (Todd) and Blaine Badham (Ellen), all of Birmingham; four great-grandchildren, Paxton, Carter and Chandler Brown of Tupelo and Crawford Badham of Birmingham.
