ANN V. POSEY
Birmingham Ridge - Ann V. Posey, 50, died Wednesday, March 1, 2006, at North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. An Alabama native, she was born December 29, 1955 to the late Leander and Nocle Davis Hallmark. She had been a resident of the Birmingham Ridge Community for over 30 years. She was a member of Beech Springs Baptist Church and enjoyed spending quality time with her son, Shorty.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2006 at Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Bobby Holland officiating. Burial will be in McNeil Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband of 31 years, James Posey, Saltillo, MS; one son, James Lee "Shorty" Posey and wife, Janet of Saltillo; one sister, Linda Bishop of Tupelo; one brother, Thomas Hallmark of Clarkesdale; two grandchildren, Ashley Wiggins, Hannah Toliver both of Saltillo; her loving puppy named Baby.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mary McDonald; two brothers, Robert Hallmark and Junior Ray Hallmark .
Pallbearers will be Lenn Toliver, Jeff Mashburn, Mike Ballard, and Marlin Posey.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2006.
