Saltillo - Ann Phillips, 62, died Thursday, March 29, 2012, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. A Fulton native, she was born January 24, 1950 to Roy and Ruby Belle Bonds Tyler. She was raised in the Jug Fork Community. A longtime resident of Greensburg, La., she worked over 20 years as a nurses aid in nursing homes in Louisiana and Mississippi. She enjoyed sewing and doting over her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Saltillo. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, April 1, 2012 at The Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues. Burial will be in Camp Creek Cemetery. Survivors include three daughters, Connie Manuel (John) of Jackson, La., Elsie Worley (Danny) of Amory, and Ruby Newcomb (Alan) of Mantachie; one son, Buddy Worley (Diane) of Yazoo City; her mother, Ruby King of Saltillo; four sisters, Ella Tyler of the Carolina Community, Brenda Jackson of the Fawn Grove Community, Betty Floyd of Baldwyn, and Jeanette Bridges of the Fawn Grove Community; four brothers, Donald Tyler of Plantersville, Rickey Tyler of Saltillo, Calvin Tyler and Rodger Tyler, both of Birmingham, Ala.; 15 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Alan Newcomb, John Manuel, Zackary Worley, Jerry Worley, III, Tony "T.J." Parker and Andrew Cato. Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Saltillo Funeral Home.
