ANN PETTIGREW
Laurel - Ann Pettigrew, 74, died Monday, March 13, 2006, at Laurelwood Community Living Center after an extended illness. A Tippah Co. native, she was born May 29, 1931 to the late Homer and Janie Clark Childers. Raised in the Shannon area, she raised her family in Plantersville. Most recently she had lived in Verona. She was an avid reader. She was a member of the Baptist church.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. Donnie Parker officiating. Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery.
Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Thatch and husband, Roy, of Heidelberg; two sons, David Petigrew and wife, Lisa, of Nashville, TN, and Andy Pettigrew and wife, Melesia, of Laurel; five grandchildren, Lauren Thatch and wife, Julie, of Brandon, Lindsey Kittrell and husband Brian, of Hattisburg, Kristen Pettigrew of Shannon, and Hunter Pettigrew of Laurel, Jason Pettigrew and wife, Stacy of Nashville, TN; one step-granddaughter, Brittany Conerly and husband, Brandon of Laurel; and three sisters, Gamelia Barnes of Shannon, Lucy Boyd of Rogersville, AL, Mable Wilson of Amory; and many nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Romie Childers; and a grandson, Brian Pettigrew.
Pallbearers will be Lauren Thatch, Brian Kittrell, Jonathan Wilson, Corey Langford, Shane Wilson, and Jimmy Barnes.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2006.
