ANN LAUDERDALE Tupelo - Ann Lauderdale, 78, born March 24, 1935, to Houston "Shorty" and Lula Langston Ramsey passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at the Sanctuary Hospice House. She worked at several different places including Cotton Bolt and Bassett Furniture. She enjoyed shopping and gardening. She was a member of Tupelo Free Will Baptist Church. A celebration of her life will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 3, 2014, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Terry Pierce officiating. Burial will be in Eggville Cemetery. She leaves behind three children, Chris Lauderdale of the Eggville Community, Mike Lauderdale (Hannah) of Amory and Danny Morgan (Paula) of Michigan City, Indiana; fourteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Geri McCarty of Tupelo and Sandy Biereichel (Ivan) of Colorado Springs, Colorado and one brother, Ted Ramsey of Michigan City, Indiana. Preceding her in death were her husband, James "Jimmy" Lauderdale; one son, Gerald Morgan; three sisters, Billie Joyce Lamb, Juanita Swan and Sylvia Gunter and her parents. Pallbearers will be Carey Carnathan, Austin Lauderdale, Blake Lamb, Richard Lamb, Greg Lamb and Todd McCarty. Honorary pallbearers will be Seth Smith, Scott Brazile and Ken McCarty. Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Thursday, January 2, 2014, at the funeral home.
