ANN HIPPS

NettletonAnn Hipps, age 71, died Friday, July 06, 2007, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. A Mississippi native, she was born August 12, 1935, to the late Preston and Louise Barnett Lee. She was the owner of Hipps' Re-upholstery and a member of the Nettleton Pentecostal Church.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Nettleton Pentecostal Church with Rev. Larry Davis and Rev. Larry Hill officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Merle Hipps of Nettleton; three daughters, Tarica Rowe and husband, James, Toni Kennedy, all of Nettleton, Pennie Sneed and husband, Billy Ray Jr. of Oxford; one son, Rex Vernon Wright and wife, Virginia, of Nettleton; three sisters, Wanda Rhudy and husband, Wayne, of Nettleton, Sarah Babin and husband, Mike, of Brandon, Jeri Ausbon of Brandon; one brother, M. C. Ausbon of Tupelo; six grandchildren, Scottie Wright, Brandy Whitt, Kristi Cates, Rodney Rowe, Andrew Weaver, Anna Weaver, and Samantha Reno; four step-grandchildren, Sheri Ashley and husband, William, Dan Hipps, Randy Hipps and Lori Smith; six great-grandchildren, Hailey Whitt, Cody Cates, Lexi Hendrix, Harley Cates, Hadyson Whitt, and Addison Moore; several step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Samuel Preston Lee, and one granddaughter, Candi Wright.

Visitation will be at the Nettleton Pentecostal Church from 2:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, and from 10:00 a.m. until service time Sunday.
