Tupelo - Andrew G. Leschen, 68, died Saturday, February 20, 2016, at North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born in New York, New York on August 6, 1947, to Robert and Phyllis Nager Leschen and was raised in the Jewish faith. Andy was drafted in 1967, after briefly attending college, to the United States Army and was stationed in Germany for four years. He worked at K&K Systems as Purchasing Manager, and also served many roles including design and engineering. His family would describe him as very self driven, hard working, dedicated and intellegent. Andy loved to read and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, especially going to watch their sporting events. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at the Saltillo Chapel of W. E. Pegues. Burial will be in New Zion Cemetery. Survivors include daughters, Dawn Martin (Scott) of Houston, Robbie Robinson and Jennifer Korthuis (Kim) both of Saltillo; grandchildren, Christopher Spruill of Amory, Greg Spruill of Saginaw, Texas, Adam Spruill of Woodland, Mollie Davidson, Braxton Kesler, Kam Robinson and Morgan Stewart of Saltillo; great-grandson, Colton Stewart of Saltillo; sister, Amy Silverstein (Michael) of Port Washington, New York; niece, Rachel Scherban (David) of New York; nephew, Benjamin Markan of New York; mother, Phyllis Leschen of Freeport, New York. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Leschen. Pallbearers will be Timothy Keith, Jerry McCool, Sisco Vasquez, Christopher, Greg and Adam Spruill. Honorary pallbearers will be grandson, Braxton Kesler and coworkers, Tim Keith, Richard Cook, Kenny Deloach, Chip Phillips, Ken Carson, James Bryant and Tommy Keith. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2016, and also one hour prior to service time Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at W. E. Pegues, Saltillo. Expressions of sympathy may be left at www.peguesfuneralhome.com .
