AMANDA ODOM
Chesterville - Amanda King Odom, 24, died Friday, August 17, 2012, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a long and courageous battle with leukemia. A native and live long residence of the Chesterville Community, she was born December 19, 1987, to Henry H. King, Jr. and Carey Ann Crane King. She had worked for the Hilton Garden Inn as a housekeeping supervisor and a short time for Block, Inc. She doted over her son and loved spending time with her family and friends. Known to everyone as an outdoors? enthusiast, she especially enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting. She was a member of Chesterville Calvary Baptist Church
Services celebrating her life will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 19, 2012, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Wesley Stephens and Rev. Ray Hall officiating. Burial will be in Chesterville Cemetery.
Survivors include one son, Jason Hunter Odom of the home; her father, Henry H. King, Jr. (Lisa) of Lake Mohawk; her mother, Carey Crane King (James Warren) of the Chesterville Community; one brother, Jonathan King (Lindsay Wheeler) of the Furrs Community; one sister Brittany King (Jeremy Kyle) of Chesterville ; and maternal grandparents, William Nunan and Mary Ann Crane of Chesterville.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Henry H. "Hershol" King, Sr. and Doyce W. King.
Pallbearers will be Randy Towery, Matt Towery, Dan Crane, Jeremy Kelly, Jason Davis, John Stewart and Randle Towery.
Honorary pallbearers will be Leigh Soper, Terri Spurgeon, Carolyn Aurre, Amy Ivy, Trisha Watson, Hannah Davis, Tiffany Towery and Cole Bolin.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, August 18, 2012, at the funeral home.
