ALMA C. WHITE
Tupelo - Alma Coleen White, 90, died Wednesday, April 5, 2006, at Beverly Health Care after an extended illness. A Lee County native, she was born March 11, 1916 to the late Fred and Martha Stanley White. She was homemaker and a member of the Baptist church. She enjoyed reading and playing bingo.
Services will be 12:30 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2006 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Minister Fred Webb officiating. Burial will be in Saltillo Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Martha Robinson Monaghan and husband, Robert, of Saltillo and Robi Gomez Gutierrez and husband, Ricardo, of Tupelo; one brother, Clarence W. White of Fayetteville, NC; five granchildren, Rebecca Blalock of Saltiilo, Kirk Robinson of Adamsville, Tenn., Bernarda Jones, Teodoro (Borras) Gomez, and Lupita Gomez, all of Tupelo; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Dalton White, and a son-in-law, Milton Robinson.
Pallbearers will be Johnie Whitaker, Aaron Pope, David Blalock, Chad Jones, Ricardo Gutierrez, and Johnny Mac Miles.
Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
