Tupelo - Alma Edna Brazil, 90, died Friday, July 9, 2010, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. A Lee County native and lifelong resident, she was born May 18, 1920 to Joel and Alma Jackson Wilson. She was a graduate of East Tupelo High School and worked as a seamstress in the garment industry for several area manufacturers. She was a member of Chesterville Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting and was a caregiver for many family members.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Joe Lusby, Rev. Sammy Coker, and Rev. Dave Jensen officiating. Burial will be in Chesterville Memorial Cemetery.
Survivors include her grandson, Robert "Robbie" Brazil of Tupelo; two sisters, Louise Holcomb of Chesterville and Ann Lusby of Tupelo; several nieces and nephews; her special friend and neighbor, Mary Dale Robinson of Tupelo.
She was preceded in death by three sons, Curtis, Charles, and Danny Brazil; and two sisters and three brothers.
Her nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be noon to service time Saturday at the funeral home.
