ALICE LYLES Tupelo - Mary Alice Chism Lyles, 72, died Saturday, May 18, 2013, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born September 7, 1940, to Jim and Roxie Anna Hood Chism. She was a lifelong resident of the Auburn Community and retired from Reeds Manufacturing after many years of service. She enjoyed cooking, playing dominoes and especially spending time with her family. She was a member of Kinglsey Chapel Baptist Church. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2013 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Bro. Jack Washington and Bro. John Gale officiating. Burial will be in Mantanchie Cemetery. Survivors include her husband of fifty-three years, Roy Kenneth Lyles; three daughters, Gale Presnell (Dennis), Brenda Sheffield (Gerald) and Amanda Dickerson (Mike) all of Auburn; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; three sisters, Jimmie Lou Hester (Clinton) of Pontocola, Patsy Washington (Wayne) and Peggy Hayes both of Tupelo. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Bert, James, Bill and Noonon Chism; one sister, Bell Humphries. Pallbearers will be Mike Dickerson, Dennis Presnell, Kenneth Williams, Brandon Sheffield and Ken and David Michael Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Gerald Sheffield, Blake Smith and Wayne Washington. Visitation will be noon to service time Monday, May 20, 2013 at the funeral home.
