TUPELO - Alice "Mamaw" Edmondson, 87, died Friday, April 13, 2007, at the Golden Living Center after a long illness. A native of Alabama, she was born Jan. 4, 1920, to the late Will and Ellie Hagood. She worked for many years at Reed Manufacturing. Later she and her husband owned a grocery store in Carbon Hills, Ala. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Carbon Hills. She was a loving mother to all who knew her and loved by many people.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with the Rev. David Westmoreland officiating. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park.

Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Joyce Edmondson of Tupelo; three grandchildren, Diana Lynn Whitten and Russell Stanton Mathis of Tupelo, and Freddy Dale Fischer of San Antonio, Texas; three great-grandchildren, Kayla McCormick (Don), Taylor Fischer of San Antonio, Texas, and Corbyn Maddox of Tupelo.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to service time Sunday at the funeral home.
