Agnes Overstreet

Tupelo - Agnes Overstreet, 86, died Monday, September 6, 2010, at her sons residence after an extended illness. She was born October 15, 1923, in Greenwood where she was raised. She worked as a secretary for Fikes Insurance Company, Sheffield Insurance, and later for Lawhon Company. Earlier in her life, she liked to fish. She also enjoyed crocheting and other crafts. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park.

Survivors include her son, Billy Overstreet of Tupelo; and her caregiver for the past five years, Bonnie Boyd of Tupelo.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to service time at the funeral home.
