AGNES JOHNSON
Pontotoc - Agnes Johnson, 84, died Tuesday, March 14, 2006, at the Pontotoc Hospital/Nursing Home after an extended illness. A Tupelo native, she was born March 16, 1921 to the late James Claude and Maude Mae Brazeal Powell. She was a member of the Baptist church.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 17, 2006 at Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. Tracy Quillen officiating. Burial will be in Eggville Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Faye Simmons and husband, David, of Sherman, two sons, James Coleman of Wisconcin, Steve Johnson and wife, Donna, of Greenville, SC; one sister, Mary Nell Farris of Tupelo; two brothers, Fred Powell and wife, Laura Ellen, of Tupelo and Jonathan Powell and wife, Carrie, of Tupelo; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters and five brothers..
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 16, 2006.
