Adanne "Candy" Golden

September 17, 1950 — February 10, 2025

Tupelo

Adanne “Candy” Cain Golden of Tupelo left this life on February 10, 2025. Private graveside services will be held later at Adaton Baptist Church Cemetery, Adaton, Mississippi. Pegues Funeral Directors has been entrusted with arrangements.

Candy was a retired civilian from the Department of Defense Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her husband, Major E. Golden; son, Major W. Golden; parents, William Glover and Dorothy Jones Cain; all grandparents; aunts; and uncles. Candy leaves behind many cousins, extended family of her husband, and many good friends from around the globe.

Please do not send flowers, food, cards, etc., as there will be no one to respond. In lieu of those things, she asks that you commit a random selfless act of kindness in her memory. If you choose, memorial contributions may be made to Adaton Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, in care of Adaton Baptist Church, 1975 Hwy. 182, Starkville, MS 39759; Montgomery Humane Society, 1150 John Overton Drive, Montgomery, AL 36110; or any other charity of your choice. However, she was very serious about a random selfless act of kindness in her memory, whether anything else is done or not. It was very important to her. She felt she had many good friends and relatives and if they all participated, many people would be helped in some way. To her it is an exceptional memorial and the world needs it.

Expressions of sympathy and fond memories may be shared at PeguesFuneralHome.com.
