Sherman - Thomas Allen Caldwell, 73, died Monday, September 10, 2012, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was born June 23, 1939 to John Thomas and Melba McLain Caldwell. He did his undergraduate work at the Mississippi State University and received his master's degree from the University of Tennessee. He worked as a Psychology Administrator in the Behavioral Health Unit at NMMC for thirty-eight years. He loved his three dogs, Ruddie, Rickie, and Rockie and also enjoyed motorcycling. He was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church. Services will be 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at the Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. Chris McAlilly and Rev. Dr. Roy P. McAlilly officiating. Burial will be at Sherman Cemetery. Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Betty Bolen Caldwell of Sherman; two daughters, Kimberly Caldwell Hendershot (John) of Franklin, Tennessee and Mandy Hankins White (Bart) of Baldwyn; one son, John Spencer Hankins of Austin, Texas; two sisters, Linda Tutor (Phil) and Diane Rogers (Ronnie) both of Pontotoc; one brother, John Mark Caldwell (Carol) of Sherman; four grandchildren, Caroline Cathryn Hendershot and John Caldwell Hendershot both of Franklin, Tenneessee, Dyland Bradley Berbett and Bryce Eugene Berbett both of Baldwyn. He was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers will be Phil Tutor, John Hendershot, Joe Bailey, John Martin Caldwell, Ted Dowden, Robert Sandford, Johnny Bolen, Mike Tucker and Bart White. Honorary pallbearers will be Dylan Berbette, Bryce Berbett and John Caldwell Hendershot.
