Shelby Jo Cobb

JO COBBTupelo- Shelby Jo Cobb 76, died Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. A Tupelo native, she was born June 11, 1940, in Tupelo to George William "Buster" Brooks and Earline Wilder Brooks. She was a lifelong resident of Tupelo and 1958 graduate of the Tupelo High School. Jo married her husband Tommy H. Cobb on December 25, 1958. She retired after 34 years with Sears first working in the catalog store in downtown and helped open the Sears locations in both the Tupelo Mall ant the Mall at Barnes Crossing. Along with her husband Tommy, Jo was an active member of the Tombigbee Indians Chapter of the Good Same Camping Club and had served on the state staff. Thru the Camping Club she had traveled extensively all over the country. Jo was also a faithful and active member of First Baptist Church Tupelo.
