KEITH JONES Mooreville - Cletis Keith Jones, 80, died Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at his home after an extended illness. He was born in Oxford on January 24, 1934, to Ivy and Cynthia Jones. A veteran of the United States Air Force and the Army Reserves, he proudly served and defended our nation. He was a self-employed trucker whose hobby was working. He also enjoyed hunting arrow heads and fishing. He was a Christian. Memorial Services will be 7 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Jones Chapel Church in Nettleton with Lay Minister Joe Dye officiating. Graveside services with military honors will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Jones Chapel Cemetery in Nettleton. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include three daughters, Cindy Brown (Eric), Lindy Thompson and Debbie Sheffield; two sisters, Sue Quarles and Ann Brownlee (Perry); eleven grandchildren, Brooke (Jared), Trish (Mitch), Dusty (Samantha), Josh, Ethan, Jessica, Lisa (David), Chuck (Jessica), Danny (Crissy), Erica and Zack; twenty-one great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Joe Baker; and two special nieces, Elizabeth Ann Moore and Barbara Bishop. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Verna Jones in August 2012; one great-grandson, Jonas Malechi Jones; and one sister, Lynn Smothers. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Jones Chapel Church.
