James R. Gaines, Jr.

JAMES R. GAINES, JR. Verona - James R. Gaines, Jr., 65, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at his home suddenly. He was born in Tupelo on April 30, 1950 to James R. and Annie Mae Gaines. He retired after 38 years of service to Lane Furniture. He was a Baptist by faith. He enjoyed spending time with his family and granddaughters. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2015 at Temple Grove Baptist Church in Nettleton with Phil Temple officiating. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include his wife Carolyn Gaines; two sons, Terry and Jeffery Gaines (Wendy); two granddaughters, Briley and Lylia Gaines all of Verona; two brothers, Tommy Gaines (Judy) of Dallas, Texas and Ed Gaines (Jewel) of Clovis, California; sisters, Shearer Looney (Bill) of Mooreville and Donna Yeager of Saltillo.
