Dennis Charles “Chris” Crisco

Tupelo- Dennis Charles “Chris” Crisco, 89, peacefully passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, January 6, 2023. He was born in Guilford County, North Carolina on Christmas Day in 1933 to David and Lela Davis Crisco. Chris was a veteran of the U.S. Army and spent most of his career in the furniture business. He opened Vantage Fabrics based out of Tupelo in the early 1980’s, and later worked as a sales rep for Delta Chemical. Chris enjoyed airplanes and was rated to fly single-engine aircrafts when he received his Private Pilot license. He also enjoyed salvaging and restoring antique vehicles.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Bonnie Crisco; his son, Joseph Crisco and his wife, Kate; and his grandchildren, Lane and Adeline, who were his pride and joy. He is also survived by a brother, Billy and his wife, Ruth, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents, David and Lela Davis Crisco; one sister, Peggy; and two brothers, Bobby and J.D.

Visitation will be 4 until 7 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Pegues, Tupelo.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 13, 2023, at Derryberry Cemetery in Darden, Tennessee with Rev. Randy Blankenship officiating.
